Maya is a journalist with experience in both sports and news.

She strives to use her skills and expertise to become an inspirational storyteller to help athletes and members of all communities find their voice through broadcasting and digital media. With over ten internship experiences over four years, Maya has strived to become a jack of all trades.

She has claimed the title of two-time award-winning journalist receiving an award for the 2021 SPJ Region 3 Mark of Excellence Finalist and the 2023 Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists News Awards Finalist.
